Sahara Liquidation Sale - June 16, 2011

Sahara fans aren't able to visit the property anymore since it closed on May 16th, but now they will have a chance to take a piece of the action home with them.

On June 16th the Sahara is having an everything-must-go liquidation sale. Everything from room furnishings to casino games will have a price tag ready to leave the property for a new home.

The sale starts June 16th at 10am and will continue daily 10-7 Monday – Saturday & 12-5 Sunday until sold out. There is a $10 admission charge the first four days of the sale.

Seems like a great way to take home a bit of Las Vegas history.

Life is Short - Summer is Shorter

The latest Las Vegas commercials from the LVCVA feature the theme "Life is Short - Summer is Shorter."

One of the commercials features two sprinklers talking to each other, when one of the sprinklers gets run over by a lawn mower. The sprinkler's untimely death punctuates the fact that life is short, summer is shorter so go to Las Vegas!

The other commercial is a pack of bananas informing a watermelon that the homeowners have left for Las Vegas and they are going to rot.

The song in both commercials is "Listen To Your Love" by Mona.

UPDATE: The newest commercial in the series features a pair of bubbles talking to each other before bursting.
